Senior Management Team

Following an MBO in March 2005, Dobson & Crowther Limited has a team of senior managers who are also shareholders of the business and who are directly responsible for the strategic direction of the Company.

Michael J Smith - Chairman

Michael has 34 years experience in the print & packaging sector, which include several appointments at main board level for the Jefferson Smurfit Group & API Group plc. Michael is not based in Llangollen, but visits this beautiful Welsh town regularly.

Paul Holden - Managing Director

Paul, as well as being a qualified accountant has 18 years experience in paper and print following various financial & commercial roles within Hallmark Cards Inc, Fine Art Developments plc & Hestair plc. Paul is based in Llangollen, travelling in each day from nearby Wrexham.

John Goddard - Sales Director

John has 30 years experience in print & envelope manufacture with a wealth of marketing knowledge and has served in senior roles with Rexam, Broadprint, Moore Paragon and the Communisis Group. John also bases himself in Llangollen, but travels from the North West on a regular basis.

Neal Thomas – Financial controller

Neal has been with the business for 11 years, and has a wealth of experience in accountancy and finance roles.

Jacqui Watts – HR Manager

Jacqui recently returned to Dobson and Crowther after a gap of 3 years.  She has spent 12 years in HR in manufacturing, in the food, print and chemicals industries and 3 years in European HR telecoms.

Paul Walker – Operations Manager

Paul started work for the business in 2007 coming to us from Royal Bank of Scotland. Experienced in business improvement across different industry types he now specialises in direct mail and  print.

Middle Management Team

Caroline Holt 

Pre-press manager
Responsible for the day-to-day performance of the pre-press department.

Ross Kearsley 

Technical manager
Responsible for pre-press hardware Man Roland pre-press interface, ISO colour standards and customer interaction.

Gareth Ankers-Phillips

Finishing & despatch manager                               
Responsible for punches, cell and Paulsen’s.  Number 2 to Paul Walker when he is off site.  Manages despatch and oversees planning.

Andrew McAulay

Process manager
Andrew is replacing Phil Ellis and is fully qualified in both quality and H&S.

Sales manager
Responsible for managing the external sales team

Senior estimator
Responsible for the estimating team

Clare Parker-Twist

Customer care manager
Responsible for managing the internal sales team and ensuring customer satisfaction

IT Manager
Responsible for the in house IT systems support

Responsible for his team who ensure the smooth running of the machinery and factory
